New DIY project!

Another DIY refurbish Project! This is another table from a charity shop with a glass panel. I think I am going to use some Laura Ashley wallpaper to go under the glass panel and paint it cream. I will post the results of this very soon!

Cath Kidston table - Before and After

Last week i bought this table from a charity shop. I thought it could look really nice if I brought it up to date. I used some purple paint which i had left over from my bedroom walls and mixed some with white paint to get this lovely lilac colour. I then used my material from Ikea to give it a shabby chic touch. I love the way that it has turned out!

What do you think? 

Working progress

I bought this little wooden table from a charity shop.

I have had this mirror for years. I recently found it in a box and thought I could bring it up to date!

I bought this jewellery box from a local charity shop. I painted it with cream paint and covered the glass panel with cath kidston material which i bought from ikea.

I think doing this with jewellery boxes really brings them up to date!

This one would make a lovely gift!

The measurements of this jewellery box are: L - 25cm, W - 17cm and H- 8cm

Refurbished Chest of drawers!

I usually stick to small jewellery boxes to refurbish but when i was looking around some charity shops i seen this and thought i should have a go at refurbishing something big!



Here is a before and after picture!

And this is how i did it!



 First i sanded down the Chest of drawers.



Chest of drawers all sanded down!



Next i gave it a coat of white paint.



Here is c loseup of the drawer!



After the undercoat had dried i chose to paint the chest of drawers in cream paint.



This is after one coat of paint!





Refurbished Cath Kidston Jewellery Box - 3&4

I bought this jewellery box from a charity shop and decided to bring it up to date by painting it cream and covering the glass panel with some cath kidston material.

A few days later i went into another charity shop and found another one of the jewellery boxes but the little handle was missing so i have used a jump ring and an anchor charm to act as a little handle! I painted this in the same paint but used blue material instead!

I am really pleased with these two!

Refurbished Cath Kidston Jewellery Box - 1

I bought this old jewellery box from a charity shop and decided to give it a new look!

I have used Cath Kidston material to cover the drawers and painted the box in cream paint. The top of the box has a glass panel which I have stuck some material to also. When you lift up the lid you can see the glass panel which has a stained glass flower design on it.
